Skønne øjeblikke i psykiatrien – patientperspektiver på sygeplejepraksis og implementering af skønheds-orienteret, sensitiv sygeplejepraksis

Resumé
Baggrund
Etisk Råd peger på ‘Skønne Øjeblikke’ som et forslag til, hvordan omsorgskompetencer og -følelse kan blive et fokus i praksis.
Formål
At undersøge patienters udsagn i psykiatrien, om det, de finder betydningsfuldt i relationen til sundhedspersonalet og om der er paralleller til det forsker, sygeplejerske og ph.d., Sine Maria Herholdt-Lomholdt kalder skønhedsorienteret sygepleje.
Metode
Undersøgelsen er et litteraturstudie på baggrund af 3 artikler. Disse har undergået en kvalitativ, deduktiv indholdsanalyse, med de tre forhold for ‘Skønne Øjeblikke’ som kategorisering.
Resultater
Analysen viser forhold, der både gør sig gældende for patienters ytring af noget der har stor betydning, og for elementer der indgår i skønhedsorienteret sygepleje. De fem elementer er:
1) En oplevelse af en lytteretning efter det af ’merbetydning’
2) En oprigtigt interesseret sundhedsprofessionel
3) Oplevelse af et ligeværdigt møde
4) Fraværet af krav om, at patienten i mødet med personalet skal gøre sig en forandrende erkendelse
5) At nogle patienter har oplevet, at en særlig karisma ved en sundhedsprofessionel, har haft en særlig, resonans.
Konklusion
Det konkluderes at der findes ækvivalens mellem dele af det, patienterne ytrer betydningsfuldt og af det, Herholt-Lomholdt beskriver som betydningsfuldt ved sygeplejerskers oplevelser af skønne øjeblikke.

English abstract 

Beautiful moments in psychiatry – patient perspectives on nursing and the implementation of aesthetically attuned, sensitive care

Background
The Danish Council of Ethics has highlighted “Beautiful Moments” as a proposal for how caring competence and the felt sense of care can be given greater focus in clinical practice.
Aim
To explore psychiatric patients’ accounts of what they find meaningful in their relationships with healthcare professionals, and to examine whether there are parallels to what nurse and PhD Sine Maria Herholdt‑Lomholdt refers to as aesthetically attuned nursing care.
Method
The study is a literature review based on three articles. These were subjected to a qualitative, deductive content analysis, using the three conditions for “Beautiful Moments” as the main analytic categories.
Results
The analysis identified conditions that apply both to patients’ expressions of what holds great significance for them and to core elements of aesthetically attuned nursing care. Five central elements were:
1. An experience of the professional listening for “something of more significance”
2. A genuinely interested healthcare professional
3. The experience of an encounter based on equality
4. The absence of demands that the patient must arrive at a transformative realisation in the meeting with the staff
5. That some patients experienced a particular charisma in a professional as having a special resonance.
Conclusion
The study concludes that there is an equivalence between aspects of what patients describe as meaningful and what Herholdt‑Lomholdt identifies as significant in nurses’ experiences of beautiful moments in practice.
