\n<\/span><\/strong>At unders\u00f8ge hvilke udfordringer sygeplejersker oplever i identificering af tryks\u00e5r hos patienter med h\u00f8jpigmenteret hud.
\n<\/span>Metode
\n<\/span><\/strong>Et kvalitativt litteraturstudie med hermeneutisk afs\u00e6t. Empirien er analyseret manifest og induktivt ved tematisk analyse inspireret af Clarke og Braun.
\n<\/span>Resultater
\n<\/span><\/strong>Tre temaer fremkom:<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Sygeplejerskerne beskrev en r\u00e6kke udfordringer: undervisning og retningslinjer fokuserer prim\u00e6rt p\u00e5 lavpigmenteret hud, der opleves strukturel racisme, tryks\u00e5r hos patienter med h\u00f8jpigmenteret hud identificeres ofte sent, patientpopulationen er overvejende lavpigmenteret, og alternative vurderingsmetoder anvendes. F\u00f8lsomhed og tavshed omkring race p\u00e5virker ligeledes identificeringsprocessen. Samlet set understreges behovet for yderligere forskning.
\n<\/span>Implikationer for klinisk praksis
\n<\/span><\/strong>Tiltag i klinisk praksis udfoldes i to artikler og et lommekort, som er udgivet i Journal for Sygeplejevidenskab, samt en artikel i ugeskrift for L\u00e6ger:<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\n<\/span>Background
\n<\/span><\/strong>Pressure ulcers represent a widespread challenge, where early detection is crucial. Existing guidelines are primarily based on low-pigmented skin, which is problematic in a multicultural Denmark and may affect patients\u2019 health and quality of life.
\n<\/span>Aim
\n<\/span><\/strong>To explore the challenges nurses face in identifying pressure ulcers in patients with highly pigmented skin.
\n<\/span>Method
\n<\/span><\/strong>A qualitative literature review with a hermeneutic approach. The empirical material was analysed inductively and manifestly using thematic analysis, inspired by Clarke and Braun.
\n<\/span>Results
\n<\/span><\/strong>Three themes emerged:
\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>The nurses described several challenges: teaching and guidelines primarily focus on low-pigmented skin; structural racism is experienced; pressure ulcers in patients with highly pigmented skin are often identified late; the patient population is predominantly low-pigmented; and alternative assessment methods are used. Sensitivity and silence surrounding race likewise affect the identification process. Overall, the need for further research is emphasised.
\n<\/span>Implications for clinical practice
\n<\/span><\/strong>Initiatives in clinical practice are elaborated in two articles and a pocket card published in the Journal of Nursing Research & Professional Knowledge and in an article in the Journal of the Danish Medical Association.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
