\n<\/span><\/strong>Introduktion:<\/span> Fatigue er en senf\u00f8lge, mange patienter i dialyse oplever i l\u00f8bet af sin sygdom. Konsekvenserne af fatigue har en stor indvirkning p\u00e5 b\u00e5de fysiske, psykiske og sociale aspekter. Opgavens form\u00e5l er at unders\u00f8ge, hvilken indvirkning fatigue har p\u00e5 det sociale liv for voksne patienter med kronisk nyresvigt i h\u00e6modialyse.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Unders\u00f8gelsen blev tilrettelagt som et kvantitativt tv\u00e6rsnitsstudie med udgangspunkt i et sp\u00f8rgeskema (n=16). Sp\u00f8rgeskemaet var inspireret af Fatigue Assessment Scale fra Ild Care Foundation, og suppleret med egne, udvalgte sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5l. Data blev bearbejdet med en deskriptiv og analytisk tilgang, hvor p-v\u00e6rdi og \u03c72-test blev fundet for at afg\u00f8re unders\u00f8gelsens signifikans.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Der blev ikke fundet statistisk signifikant sammenh\u00e6ng mellem fatigue og deltagelse i sociale aktiviteter baseret p\u00e5 vores p-v\u00e6rdi (p=0,81). Trods den manglende statistiske signifikans antyder b\u00e5de vores empiriske fund, eksisterende litteratur og erfaringer fra praksis, at fatigue har en klinisk betydning for patienter i h\u00e6modialyse og deres sociale liv.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong><\/span>Resultaterne blev diskuteret med inddragelse af nyfunden litteratur, og metoden blev kritisk vurderet. Unders\u00f8gelsen pegede p\u00e5 mulige metodiske begr\u00e6nsninger, s\u00e5som selektions- og informationsbias samt confounders, herunder komorbiditet og sociodemografiske forhold, hvilket kan have p\u00e5virket unders\u00f8gelsens generaliserbarhed og udfald.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Vi kan konkludere, at sammenh\u00e6ngen mellem tr\u00e6thed og deltagelse i sociale aktiviteter, ikke er statistisk signifikant (p=0,81). Manglende signifikans kan skyldes faktorer som stikpr\u00f8vens st\u00f8rrelse og variation i deltagernes oplevelser. P\u00e5 trods af dette vurderes fatigue fortsat relevant og som en barriere for sociale relationer, hvilket underst\u00f8ttes af b\u00e5de tidligere forskning og klinisk erfaring.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong><\/span>Resultaterne understreger n\u00f8dvendigheden af, at sygeplejersker arbejder systematisk og helhedsorienteret med at identificere og h\u00e5ndtere fatigue som en kompleks faktor, der kan kompromittere patientens sociale trivsel og livskvalitet. Vores implikation indeb\u00e6rer et systematisk screeningsredskab af fatigue ved opstart af dialyse forl\u00f8b samt som en del af fast statusvurdering hver tredje m\u00e5ned.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/span>Fatigue is a common late effect experienced by many dialysis patients throughout their illness. The consequences of fatigue can impact both physical, psychological and social aspects. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of fatigue on the social life of adult patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>The study was designed as a quantitative cross-sectional study based on a survey (n=16). The survey was inspired by the Fatigue Assessment Scale from the ILD Care Foundation and supplemented with self-developed questions. Data were analyzed using a descriptive and analytical approach, including p-values and X2-tests to determine statistical significance.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong><\/span>No significant correlation was found between fatigue and participation in social activities based on the p-value (p=0.81). Despite this, our data, existing literature and clinical experience suggest fatigue clinically influences hemodialysis patients\u2019 social lives.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong><\/span>The results were discussed in relation to newly identified literature, and the method was critically evaluated. The study revealed limitations, including selection- and information bias, as well as confounding variables such as comorbidities and sociodemographic factors, which may have affected both the generalizability and the outcome of the study.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>There is no statistically significant correlation between fatigue and social activity participation (p\u202f=\u202f0.81). The lack of significance may result from sample size and participant variability. Nevertheless, fatigue remains a relevant barrier to social interaction, supported by prior research and clinical experience.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong><\/span>The results emphasize the necessity for nurses to work systematically and holistically to identify and manage fatigue as a complex factor that can compromise patients\u2019 social well-being and quality of life. We propose implementing a systematic screening tool for fatigue at the initiation of dialysis treatment and as part of the regular status evaluation every three months.<\/span><\/p>\n
