Kortisolniveauerne falder generelt f\u00f8r sengetid og topper, n\u00e5r du v\u00e5gner. Det er alts\u00e5 klart, at kortisol spiller en afg\u00f8rende rolle i at hj\u00e6lpe dig med at sove om natten og v\u00e5gne om morgenen<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Man taler om en akut og kronisk udskillelse af kortisol<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. I den akutte situation, udskilles kortisol fx hvis du tr\u00e6ner eller bliver forskr\u00e6kket. N\u00e5r \u201dfaren\u201d er drevet over, falder niveauet igen. I den kroniske situation, som fx ved stress, reagerer kroppen ved kontinuerligt at udskille kortisol, da symptomer p\u00e5 stress (problemer med s\u00f8vn, ford\u00f8jelse, hum\u00f8r, hovedpine, manglende koncentration osv) er de samme, som hvis vi stod i en truende situation.&nbsp;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Kortisolniveauerne varierer gennem menstruationscyklussen<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Nye studier viser (Modsat hvad man f\u00f8r har troet), at niveauerne af kortisol typisk er h\u00f8jere i follikelfasen (f\u00f8r \u00e6gl\u00f8sning) og lavere i lutealfasen (efter \u00e6gl\u00f8sning). Dette betyder, at kvinder kan opleve forskellige niveauer af stress og hormonel p\u00e5virkning afh\u00e6ngigt af cyklusfasen.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Kortisol har stor betydning for overgangsalderen<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, som for mange starter med perimenopausen i starten af 40\u00b4erne. Her kan fald og udsving i \u00f8strogen og progesteron f\u00f8re til forh\u00f8jede niveauer af kortisol. Vi leder stadig efter gode studier omkring emnet og indtil da, har vi sat en enkelt kilde p\u00e5.&nbsp;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">V\u00e6gt\u00f8gning ved hormonelle ubalancer<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (stres, ubalance i cyklus, overgangsalder) er en kendt bivirkning. Kortisol spiller her en afg\u00f8rende rolle via kroppens stressrespons og kan have flere effekter p\u00e5 stofskiftet og v\u00e6gt\u00f8gning.&nbsp;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>1.<\/strong> Kortisol fremmer gluconeogenese, hvor leveren producerer glukose, hvilket kan f\u00f8re til forh\u00f8jede blodsukkerniveauer (hyperglyk\u00e6mi). Overskydende glukose, der ikke bruges til umiddelbare energibehov, lagres som fedt, is\u00e6r i maveregionen.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>2.<\/strong> Derudover modvirker kortisol insulinens effekt, hvilket kan f\u00f8re til insulinresistens. Dette betyder, at cellerne bliver mindre effektive til at optage glukose fra blodet, hvilket resulterer i \u00f8get fedtoplagring.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>3.<\/strong> Kronisk stress og forh\u00f8jede kortisolniveauer kan ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5virke appetitregulerende hormoner som leptin og ghrelin.
