\n<\/span><\/strong>Det estimeres at 140.000 mennesker i Danmark har et alkoholmisbrug. Forskning viser, at denne patientgruppe ofte oplever stigmatisering fra sundhedsprofessionelle, hvilket kan f\u00f8re til selvstigmatisering, skam og nedsat self-efficacy. Sygeplejersker finder det udfordrende at arbejde med patientgruppen, hvilket kan p\u00e5virke den etiske sygeplejepraksis.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Projektets form\u00e5l var at opn\u00e5 en nuanceret forst\u00e5else af, hvordan patienter med alkoholmisbrug oplever stigmatisering under indl\u00e6ggelse i somatikken.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Kvalitativt studie i form systematisk litteraturs\u00f8gning kombineret med<\/span> semi-strukturerede interviews med patienter med alkoholmisbrug ud fra en hermeneutisk tilgang. Interviewene er analyseret ud fra Braun og Clarkes refleksive tematiske analyse.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>To informanter blev interviewet. P\u00e5 baggrund af analysen er der fremkommet to temaer:<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Tre centrale emner bliver diskuteret med afs\u00e6t i Katie Erikssons teori om det lidende menneske, Merry Scheels teori om interaktionel sygeplejepraksis samt tillid ud fra Kari Martinsen og Knud E. L\u00f8gstrup.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Projektet indikerer, at stigmatisering opst\u00e5r, n\u00e5r sundhedsprofessionelle ikke form\u00e5r at se bag patientens alkoholmisbrug, hvilket afspejles i kommunikationen mellem patienten og den sundhedsprofessionelle.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Projektet tydeligg\u00f8r vigtigheden af, at \u00f8ge fokus p\u00e5 kommunikation, for at mindske patienternes oplevelse af stigmatisering, hvortil shared-decision-making med fordel kan anvendes som et kommunikativt redskab.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nIntroduction
\n<\/strong><\/span>It is estimated that 140,000 people in Denmark suffer from alcohol abuse. Research indicates that this patient group often experiences stigmatization from healthcare professionals, which can lead to self-stigmatization, shame, and reduced self-efficacy. Nurses find it challenging to work with this patient group, which can impact ethical nursing practice.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>The aim of this project was to gain a nuanced understanding of how patients with alcohol abuse experience stigmatization during hospitalization in somatic care.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Littertature review and a qualitative study with a hermeneutic approach, based on semi-structured interviews with patients with alcohol abuse. The interviews were analyzed using Braun and Clarke\u2019s reflexive thematic analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Two informants participated in the interviews. Based on the analysis, two themes emerged:<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>Three central topics are discussed based on Katie Eriksson\u2019s theory of suffering, Merry Scheel\u2019s theory of interactional nursing practice, and trust according to Kari Martinsen and Knud E. L\u00f8gstrup.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>The project indicates that stigmatization arises when healthcare professionals fail to look beyond the patient’s alcohol abuse, which is reflected in the communication between the patient and the healthcare professional.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong>The project highlights the importance of focusing on communication to reduce patients’ experiences of stigmatization, where shared-decision-making can be used as a communicative tool.<\/span><\/p>\n
